Luxembourg was the primary city to be named European center of Culture twice. The first time was in 1995. Luxembourg is one of the least countries in Europe, and ranked 175th in size of all the 194 independent countries of the world; the country is about 2,586 square kilometers. Luxembourg suffer a succession crisis, precipitated by the lack of a male heir to assume the throne, that led to the territory being sold to Philip the Good of Burgundy. In 1830 Luxembourg participated in the Belgian revolt against the Dutch rule, which caused the independence of Belgium.  The largest gardens in the city are usually packed with walkers, joggers and picnickers, people reading. Such as the Eiffel Tower, but the there are numerous beautiful gardens situated throughout the city that are a great way to relax with a picnic and let the children enjoy.

Luxembourg is a country that figuratively developed around its assets city of the same name. It's minor than the U.S. State of Rhode Island. This beautiful, historic slice of land is today a successful constitutional kingdom, known as a international tax haven and banking center. Luxembourg also became a member of the German Confederation, with a Confederate fortress manned by Prussian troops. The eastern part returned to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, but the administration of the Kingdom and Grand Duchy were separated.  Founded in 963, Luxembourg City known by the Roman endured many centuries of cultural and political change. . Many gardens have pony or donkey rides along with merry-go-rounds such as the famous old one at the Jardin du Luxembourg, which is a great thrill for the young children.  Luxembourg's fortress was steadily enlarged and strengthened by its successive occupants, the Bourbons, Habsburgs, Hohenzollerns, and the French, among others.
